I would like to thank those who created text messaging.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU
I'm not sure when all the "texting" hype began. Probably another technology jump from when I was on the mission. I remember when I got home it was the new great thing. I was not all for it for the first year or so. When got a new cell phone in January and figured out predictive text; text messaging became my instant boredom buster during my three hour graphic design lab. I was still against obsessive texting.
As Menny and I started dating, he was in SLC and I was still finishing school up in Idaho. After using up all our minutes we would start sending text messages. We both ended up paying the extra dough for unlimited text on our cell phone plan. I still hated seeing people in their cars texting or even worse texting during sacrament meeting.
We are newlyweds that don't see much of each other. Menny leaves at 6:30 a.m. and gets home around 1 a.m.. We don't see enough of each other. When he can call me I'm at work and can't talk. When I can call him , he is at work and can't talk. Sad as it may seem, we have resorted to text messaging all day long. Somedays it's really frustrating because I feel like I text message my husband more than I talk to him in person, but for the time being we have both come to the conclusion that its better than not communicating at all.
So, THANK GOODNESS for unlimited text message plans. My cell phone bill last month stated I sent 1,200 text messages and received 1,600.
