for the posterity

I wanted to have one last post of the year... here it is.

With the year closing I can't help notice how much I didn't record. As I sat at work and scrolled through my blog posts, I enjoyed reading each and every one of them. I wish I had more.

As I unpack my 10 + cameras, I wish I had more pictures of this year.

As this year passed, we had unexpected tragedy only to be followed by un-planned and unexpected blessings. It always seems to balance itself out.

I don't know why I decided to skip the last half of this year mentally/emotionally but I am making a promise to my posterity I will not do that again.

I also promise Menny a cleaner house and more homemade food. :)

Sorry Utah drivers... This is what I found on the web about you:
( I say you because I got my license in Idaho, therefore I am NOT a Utah driver :) )

In Utah, if you want to change lanes, don't put your blinker on. For, you see, a blinker doesn't signal your desire to change lanes. It actually means the vehicle in the next lane over should immediately speed up, in order to prevent you from getting in front of him. Do not be surprised when you see lots of middle fingers pointed your direction in Utah. But take heart, for when you arrive at your destination (likely the church Halloween party), you will discover the other driver is actually in your ward. You can thank him personally for the nice, friendly greeting he sent you on I-15.

Last August I had our next year planned out....

• Menny finished school October 12th
• The baby was coming October 27th
• Menny would get a job in Texas.... I would quit my boring job
• We would move to Texas
• We would buy a little bungalow house in El Paso
• We would go to church with Menny's mom and brother
• I would be a mom and make yummy food and keep our house cute
• I would get to practice my spanish more with Menny's family
• I would get to shop at the huge mall
  

As of June 2009:

• Menny received his license
• We rent a bungalow in Bountiful
• I still work my boring job
• Menny works for SKY WEST airlines and we have awesome benefits
• I teach the 5 -year -olds in our local spanish branch
• I have an empty 2nd bedroom with an empty crib
• We lost our second baby this month
• We eat out most of the time
• We haven't been to mexico in over a year -
• I shop at walmart , target and D.I.
  
  I hope this doesn't sound too negative...with everything bad we have been given blessings in return... it's just funny how things work out... nothing like you plan, but good none the less.
